Deani Lynn (Radke) Scroggins

Deani L. (Radke) Scroggins, age 57 of Auburn, NE passed away on January 28, 2020.

Deani was born on May 11, 1962 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City; the daughter of Duane William and Betty Jane (Janssen) Radke.  She attended school and graduated from the Conestoga High School with the Class of 1981.

She was married to David Scroggins and he preceded her in death in 2019.

Deani worked at the former Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebr. City.  She also worked for Railcrew Express for several years.

She is survived by her sons:  Christopher A. Radke (Jamie) of Honey Creek, IA, Tyler M. Warland of Omaha, NE, nine grandchildren, her mom Betty Hurst of Nebr. City; siblings:  Diana L. Davis (Kelly) of Rock Port, MO, Duane W. Radke (Lori) of Nebr. City and David E. Radke (Katie) of Nebr. City; sister Rita Thomas of Longmont, CO, brother Ken Hurst (Kim) of Lincoln, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to her husband David, she was preceded in death by a daughter Elizabeth Warland in 2007, and her step-dad Glen Hurst in 2016.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday; Feb. 22, 2020 at the Bethel United Church of Christ in Nebraska City at 2:00 p.m.    Family and friends are invited for coffee and desserts at that time.

Memorials may be given to the family in her memory.
