Darrell Ray Wichman

Darrell R. Wichman, age 73 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at his home.

Darrell Ray Wichman was born on October 5, 1951 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Norman Lavern Wichman and Waunita May Freel.  He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City.

He was united in marriage to Doreen Marie Bruce on July 6, 1982 in Arizona.  He worked for many years as a self-employed contractor and mechanic. 

Darrell is survived by his wife Doreen Wichman of Nebr. City, NE; children:  Melissa Wichman of Bernville, PA, Andrea Martin (Jeffrey) of Tucson, AZ, Cynthia Wichman Jimenez of Omaha, NE and Darrell Ray Wichman II of Nebr. City, NE; grandchildren:  Selena, Rubicel, Emilia, Antonio, Angel, Myella, Elizabeth, Krystale, Jeffrey, Victoria, Anthony, Joseph, Samantha, Daniel, Zineb, Tiffany, Jaden and Nicholas; great-grandchildren:  Helena, Drew, Jazzy, Zara, Malachi, Juliana and Nolan; siblings:  Wanda Straw and Susan Baker both of Nebr. City, NE; half-brother Steve Wichman of Idaho and half-sister Laverna Wichman of Idaho; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children Stacy Boyette and Mary Bret; sister Diane Soriano and brothers-in-law:  Harry Straw, Phil Baker and Zeke Soriano.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City, NE.
