Dannie Darrell Bennett

Dannie D. Bennett, age 70 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City.

Dannie was born on January 18, 1951 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Ralph C. and Arwilda M. (Bassinger) Bennett.  He married Cindy Becker on January 26, 1976.

Dannie worked for Wynne Transportation for 36 years and retired in 2013.

As a father, he loved spending time with his family and future daughter-in-law, Michelle Pullen.  Dannie enjoyed the outdoors and teaching his kids about hunting, fishing, camping, and sports.

Dannie is survived by his wife Cindy Bennett of Nebraska City; three sons; Daniel Bennett, Waylon Bennett, and Jared Bennett all from Nebraska City; siblings:  Leland Bennett (Linda), Mitch Bennett, Lucinda Jones and Roxanne Hoy; sister-in-law Sue Bennett; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Arwilda Bennett and a brother Dean Bennett.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Steinhart Lodge in Nebr. City.  The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lodge.
