Dale A. Grundman

Dale A. Grundman, age 65 of rural Union, NE passed away on Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025 at his home.

Dale Arnold Grundman was born on September 3, 1960 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Victor Walter and Mary Ann (Schomerus) Grundman.  He attended school and graduated from the Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1978.

He was united in marriage to Candace Marie “Candy” Hayden on June 12, 1981 and to this union two daughters were born:  Adessa and Aundrea.

Dale most recently worked for TAB Construction in Omaha, NE where he was a Paver Mechanic.  He retired in February of 2025 when his health began to fail.   He was someone that could fix anything and served the company with his welding and mechanical skills as well.  

Dale served as a Volunteer EMT and Firefighter and he was an avid gardener and fisherman; but his greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Candy Grundman of rural Union, NE; daughters:  Adessa Elson and husband Rob of Nebr. City, NE and Aundrea Renken and husband Lenny of Crescent, IA; five grandchildren:  Ashtyn Elson, Korbyn Elson, Brayden Renken, Cruz Renken and Blayke Heim; a brother Dean Grundman of Silverthorne, CO and sister Gaylene Tinnean and husband Todd of Lincoln, NE; other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Mary Ann Grundman and his father and mother-in-law Boyd and Lorraine Hayden.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday; Nov. 29, 2025 from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at 356 N. 62nd Rd., Nebr. City, NE.
