Clarence L. Schram, age 77 of rural Nebraska City passed away on October 18, 2021 at his home.
Clarence Leo Schram was born on January 18, 1944 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Leo H. and Marie Ann (Krska) Schram. He attended District #81 Country School and later Lourdes Central Catholic, where he graduated with the Class of 1962.
On October 12, 1974, Clarence was united in marriage to Carol Ann Wildhagen at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Papillion, NE and to this union four children were born: Chris, Matt, Martin and Mary.
Clarence was a life-long farmer. He began working on the farm with his dad as a young man and continued farming until his health failed. He was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #3152 of Nebraska City.
He is survived by his wife Carol of rural Nebraska City; children: Chris Schram and Matt Schram both of rural Nebr. City; Martin Schram of Nehawka, NE and Mary Gottula (Kyle) of Steinauer, NE; two grandsons: Tucker Sporhase and Alton Gottula, a sister Ann Schmitz (Floyd) of rural Nebr. City; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mom Marie Schram in 1970, dad Leo Schram in 1996, infant sister Ella Schram, mother in law Barbara Wildhagen in 1991 and father in law Carl Wildhagen in 1997.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with Fr. Tom Schultes officiating. The Rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebr. City.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (10/26) evening at the mortuary.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
