Cheyenne Scott Sila

Cheyenne S. Sila, age 58 of Pawnee City, NE passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital.

Cheyenne Scott Sila was born on June 28, 1964 at Ft. Riley, KS; the son of Dean and Marilyn (Kyle) Sila.  His family moved around while his dad was in the Army, but they eventually settled in Malvern, IA where Cheyenne graduated from Malvern High School with the Class of 1982.  He later attended Southwest Community College where he received a degree in Autobody Repair. 

He was united in marriage to Eileen Risdon on March 7, 1992 in Hamburg, IA.

Cheyenne loved cooking.  He worked as a Chef at Harrah’s Casino and the Malvern Care Center.  He liked demolition derbies, NASCAR, monster trucks and wrestling.  He was a big Husker fan and loved animals.  His greatest joy was his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife Eileen Sila of Pawnee City, NE; children:  Jennifer Brunni (Anthony) of Springfield, MO, Brittany Jenkins (Ken) of Malvern, IA, Tara McMullen (Tim) of Pawnee City, NE and Jeremy White (Jennifer) of Pawnee City, NE; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; grandmother Carmen Capper of Omaha, NE; brother Chris Sila of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law Michael Risdon (Ann) of South Carolina; other family and friends.

Cheyenne was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Bernard Capper and Fred Kyle and father and mother-in-law Paul and Vesta Risdon.
