Candis M. (Candy) Reeves

Candis M. “Candy” Reeves, age 42 of Nebraska City (formerly Livingston, TX) passed away on Wednesday; October 4, 2023 at Prestige Care Center in Nebraska City.

She was born on September 18, 1981 in Livingston, TX; the daughter of Kelly Lee and Fay Marie (McNeil) Otwell.  She attended school in Livingston, TX.

Candy was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the young age of 11 and due to this condition was unable to work as an adult.

She is survived by her children:  Justin Boone of Livingston, TX, Sam Sipes of Ohio, Kyle Williams of Livingston, TX and Rachel Hanika of Nebr. City; significant other Doug Hanika of Nebr. City; three grand-children:  Cashton Sipes, Jaxton Sipes and Lovella Sipes; her mother Fay McClain of Livingston, TX, her father Kelly Otwell (Cynthia) of Houston, TX; brothers:  Ricky McClain of Livingston, TX and Wyatt Otwell of Houston, TX; a sister Meghan Weiser of Houston, Texas, cousins:  Katie Barker and Cassandra Ross; other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
