Bill J. Creek, age 80, of Nebraska City passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at his home.
Bill James Creek was born on April 26, 1942 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Vearl and Neva May (Adkins) Creek. He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City, graduating from Nebraska City High School in 1961.
On November 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to Lettie Jean Bradley in Auburn, NE. She preceded him in death on March 21, 1997.
Bill worked at various jobs over the years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He worked for Negus & Sons for 26 years and was a lifetime member of the 571 Union of Operating Engineers. He was a former member of the Nebraska City Eagles. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, guns and cars.
He is survived by his children: Kevin Creek (Lori) of Nebr. City, Debbie Duhon of Casper, WY, Bill Creek Jr. (Andrea) of Nebr. City and Stephanie Epley of Shenandoah, IA; grandchildren: Alexa Rickett (Steven), Samantha Creek, Kevin Creek Jr., Bill Creek III, Miranda Creek, Robert Graham, Raymond Owens, Dylan Owens, Christian Owens, Jaleigh Hanson, Brittany Werkele, Jason Grenier, Josh Grenier and Dana Grenier; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Wava Light of McCool, NE; other family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, older sister Verlene Sparr, daughter Lora Owens and two grandsons: William Owens and Brandon Olmstead.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Pin High Clubhouse and Grill (aka Table Creek Golf Course).
