Beverly Ann (Harris) Bailey

Beverly (Harris) Bailey, age 87 of Hamburg, IA passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Auburn, NE.

Beverly Ann Bailey was born on November 8, 1937 in Hamburg, IA; the daughter of Harold M. and Eva M. (Kish) Harris.  She attended country school until the 7th grade and then Hamburg Community School until graduation.  After high school she was employed by Reid Seed Company in Hamburg, IA.

Bev was united in marriage to Wayne Bailey in 1956.  They became parents to two children:  Michael and Sheila.  They purchased their business in 1960 and after 33 years they retired and did much traveling, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two children:  Michael Bailey of Yukon, OK and Sheila Burgess (Robert) of Robins, IA; three grandchildren:  Matt Bailey (Brittany) of Yukon, OK, Marcy Bailey of Gilmore, TX and Randy Dugan of Longview, TX; one great-grandchild:  Madelynn Bailey of Yukon, OK; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents Eva and Harold Harris; step-father Arnold Hines; husband Wayne Bailey and great-grandchild Mason Wayne Bailey.

A Graveside Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Hamburg Cemetery in Hamburg, IA.  Immediately following the graveside service, a time of lunch and fellowship will be held at the United Methodist Church.

The family will greet friends at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the graveside on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given directly to the Hamburg Public Library, 1301 Main St., Hamburg, IA 51640.
