Betty K. Palmer, age 93 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Thursday evening, May 7, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebr. City.
Betty Kathleen (Nincehelser) Palmer was born on March 3, 1927 in Auburn, NE; the daughter of Harry and Nettie Ellen (Williams) Nincehelser. She attended school and graduated from Peru High School in Peru, NE with the class of 1945.
On February 4, 1947, Betty was united in marriage to Gordon A. Palmer in Hiawatha, KS and to this union three children were born: Jim, Leah and Larry. She was a loving wife and mother, who in addition to raising her family, owned and operated a licensed day care for 15 years in Nebraska City.
She is survived by her children: Jim Palmer and wife Penny, Leah Crunk and husband Jeff and Larry Palmer all of Nebraska City, NE; five grandchildren: Dwayne Johnson, Dea Johnson Martin, Mackenzie King, Ben Crunk and Lynnette Wolff; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; other family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by husband, Gordon on April 24, 1995; her parents, a sister Onilee Stivers and brothers: Floyd, Garland, Herb and Eldon Nincehelser.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr, City from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Covid 19 Guidelines and appropriate social distancing should be practiced.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru, NE.
