Anna Marie (Kreifels) White, age 92 of rural Nebraska City passed away on Dec. 24, 2020 at BryanLGH East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.
Anna Marie was born on October 29, 1928 at the family home southwest of Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Vincent John and Marie Valentine (Christen) Kreifels. She attended country school and later high school in Nebraska City where she graduated from Nebr. City High School with the Class of 1946. She then attended Peru State College where she received her Degree in Education. She would later earn her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO.
Anna Marie taught in rural schools and later she taught Home Economics in high school. She retired in 1989 after some 30 years of employment at the Extension Office where she was a Home Economist. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She was united in marriage to Paul White on February 14, 1980 in Dixon, NE. Paul and Anna Marie moved to rural Nebraska City in 1996 from Dixon, NE.
She is survived by her sister Esther Wyant of rural Nebr. City; numerous nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul on Feb. 25, 2018, her parents, a sister Florence Miller and brothers: David and Bernard Kreifels.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (12/30) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church southwest of Nebraska City with Fr. Stephen Graeve celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery. A rosary will be recited Wednesday (12/30) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church prior to the funeral service. In honoring her wishes, the casket will remain closed.
Memorials may be given to the Nebraska Arboretum, Concord, NE.
