Angela Denise (Peterson) Purdy

Angela Denise (Peterson) Purdy, age 65, of Nebraska City, died April 10, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born February 5, 1958 in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, to Roger L. and Anna M.(Rumbaugh) Peterson.

She married Randy Q. Purdy on April 16, 1982. They had been married just short of 41 years. Angela was a graduate of Nebraska City High School and Metro Tech Community College.
Angela worked secretarial, computer lab, and office manager jobs throughout her life. Her and her husband, Randy, wintered in San Benito, TX since 2011. Angela loved spending time with her family and pets.Throughout her life she enjoyed all types of computer work, stained glass, crafting, and her collections of angels, fairies, and many stones and crystals. She had a very spiritual belief in God, the life (adventure) beyond, and the next life to come.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; her two daughters, Michelle Purdy of Nebraska City and Ashley Purdy of Wichita, KS; her step-daughter, Brittainey (Josh) Muench of Waverly, NE; five grandchildren, Lundyn Purdy of Nebraska City and Selah, Jonah, Jillian, and Samuel Muench of Waverly, NE; father, Roger Peterson; sister, Debbie (Mark) Kemper, and brother, Louie (Solie) Peterson, all of Nebraska City; brother-in law, Larry (Gwenda) Purdy of Estes Park, CO; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Peterson of Nebraska City and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Private family graveside services will be held at the west end of Wyuka Cemetery on Friday, April 14, 2023. (Luncheon to follow.)
Memorials can be given to the family to help ease the cost of burial.
