She was a very nice woman and what she did for me and my family when my mother, Charlene, was alive. The women of Westboro were a big help and it was greatly appreciated. So sorry for your loss.

I remember meeting some of you grandchildren when you visited Charlie and Alice Hosher at Graham; I met your mom on a few occasions and she was a very nice lady.  The older Charlie and Alice enjoyed you grandchildren immensely.  I'm sure you wouldn't remember me, but reading of your mother's passing brought back my memories of the Hoshor family, and I wanted to let you know that they are still remembered, as I am sure your mother will be.  May you find comfort in your memories of her, and may the love you share with her give you peace in the coming days.  You are in my prayers.

No one has ever had a sweeter, more loving aunt than my Aunt Alice.  All the times I spent with her had a tremendous impact on my life.  When I first visited her farm at the age of 5 I remember her delivering casseroles to the sick in her church.  She was always busy but moving in the unforced rhythm of grace.  Sitting at her dinner table in later years I remember what a quick wit she and my Uncle Charles had.  They were funnier than any comedians. Aunt Alice lived out a true Christian life and I know the Lord has welcomed her with "Well done thou good and faithful servant."  Her beautiful, humble spirit will always remain in my heart.

We were in CA when we received the message of your precious Mom's Promotion.  Alice was always such a helpful, thoughtful, inspiring friend. She and Charles came over to help us "newbies"open our pool for the first time.  Always willing to share the good results of her green thumb, she offered numerous plants for me to transplant. Our row of Calla Lilies are always referred to as Alice's Lilies.  She and my mother, from near Manhattan, became good friends at times when my mom would visit.  I have a vivid picture in my mind of the two of them chatting down by our mailbox like two teenagers. Along with MaryAnne, we enjoyed several lunches with her at the Lied Center.  It was always good to see her up there in her nice home with her beloved yard and flowers.  Mostly she was an inspiration with her steadfast faith through times of loss and sorrow.  You all will deeply miss her, but trust you find peace and comfort in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord she loved.
