Mary Lou (Snyder) Perry, age 74 of Hamburg, IA passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her home.

Mary Lourisa (Snyder) Perry was born on January 23, 1944 in Jefferson City, MO; the daughter of David Alec and Ruby Morene (Wymore) Snyder.  Her family later moved to Riverton, IA where she graduated from the Riverton High School with the class of 1962.  She then attended Business Secretary School in Omaha, NE for two years.

She was united in marriage to Darrell D. Perry on January 9, 1998 in Kansas City, MO.  He preceded her in death on October 31, 2011.

Mary Lou worked at the Glenwood State School for over 20 years, before retiring in 2007.  She also worked as a Home Health Aid.  She was currently serving on the Hamburg City Council.

She is survived by her sons:  Bryan “Barney” Snyder and wife Silvia of Hamburg, IA and Tim Snyder and wife Laura of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren:  Roxanna Snyder, Bryan Snyder, Ethan Snyder and Brennan Snyder; other family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alexa Lair and Juanita Gates and brother Dr. James Snyder.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, November 9, 2018 at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, IA.

Private Graveside Services will be  held at Mt. Zion Cemetery, northeast of Hamburg, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the Grape Community Hospital or Hamburg Fire/Rescue.
