Music by The Piano Brothers

Steve Neemann was born January 29, 1950 in Ogallala, NE; the son of Merlin and Avis (Marshall) Neemann.

He was raised in Talmage, NE, attended school and graduated from the Talmage High School with the Class of 1968.  After high school, he attended trade school in Omaha, NE and later graduated as an Auto Body Repairman.  He worked in the industry all of his adult life until he became an Auto Adjuster for American Family Insurance in Omaha, NE.  Steve had to leave the company he loved in 2006 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.   He remained at home where he struggled with his health; but during all of these years he remained positive and never complained.

Steve's greatest loves were his two sons Nic and Josh.  He loved watching them grow to become young men.  When his granddaughter was born, he was the happiest of all – he loved Evie Grace more than life itself!

Steve was loved by his family and so many friends.  He loved camping with friends, fishing, playing cards and his beloved Cornhuskers.   He served in the Nebraska Army National Guard for some seven years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Neemann and Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall, mother Avis Neemann, father in law and mother in law:  Jr. and LeAnn Wurtele, nephew Scotty Gruber and brother in law Ken Teten.

Steve leaves behind his wife of 39 years Jolene Wurtele Neemann of the home, sons:  Nic Neemann and his daughter Evie Grace of Omaha, NE, Josh Neemann and wife Alea of Gretna, NE; his dad Merlin Neemann and wife Phyllis of Kearney, NE, a brother Mike Neemann and wife Judy of Lorton, NE, sisters:  Jan Teten of Auburn, NE, Sue Rice and husband Roger of Nebr. City, NE, brother in law Tim Wurtele and wife Sandy of Syracuse, NE, sister in law Pam Gruber and husband Doug of Gresham, NE; special nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and his beloved dogs.  Steve will be loved and missed forever by his family and so many special friends.

In his memory, memorials may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation or his family for future designation.

The family requests and encourages those attending the services to wear Nebraska Cornhusker apparel to honor Steve.

Dearest Jolene and boys, we are so very sorry Steve is gone, he was such a fine man, we know you will miss him beyond belief. Take comfort in knowing he is free from pain and the hindrance of the Parkinson’s that had stolen so much of his abilitie to enjoy life. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers that God comforts you and provides for you during this difficult time. We love you, Bob and Laura
