Jean L. Server, age 74 of Talmage, NE passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Jean was born on March 11, 1944 in Walton, NE; the daughter of Harry G. and Jennie Pearl (Eastwood) Server.  She grew up and attended school in Walton, graduating with the class of 1962 from Walton High School.

In 1968, Jean was united in marriage to Ralph Ray “Rocky” Rutledge in Kansas.  He died in 2002.

Jean began working at St. Elizabeth Hospital in the cafeteria.  Later, she provided daycare in her home for some 15 years.  She later worked at Tabitha Care Center in the cafeteria and retired in 1998.  She then helped raise her  grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Rutledge of Talmage, NE; three grandchildren:  Elias Green (David Arriaga) of El Paso, TX; Marissa Rutledge of Omaha, NE and Tatum Rutledge of Talmage, NE; cousin Clovis Boardman of Lincoln, NE; best friend Yvonne Vermass of Lincoln, NE; other family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her son Terry Rutledge in 2017; brother Ronnie Server; special aunt Helen Server; special grandma Alice Eastwood and best friend Sharon Ritchey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with Pastor Kurt Langer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
