Betty A. Stoll, age 85 of Nebraska City passed away on Friday; Jan. 26, 2018 at CHI Heart Institute in Lincoln, NE.

Betty Ann (Corum) Stoll was born on May 29, 1932 in Omaha, NE; the daughter of Glen and Elsie (Carver) Corum.  She attended school and graduated from the Wymore High School, Wymore, NE with the class of 1950.

She was united in marriage on May 27, 1951 at Wymore, NE to Fredrick F. Stoll and to this union a son Fred, Jr. was born.

Betty worked at the State of Nebraska Dept. of Labor Job Service for some 45 years; the last 25 years at the Manager.  She was an active member of Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron.  She was active in the Nebr. City High School Pioneer Booster Club and served as a line judge for numerous volleyball games.  She loved to read and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys; but her greatest love was her son and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Fred Stoll and wife Vicki of Lincoln, NE; three grandchildren:  Dylan, Griffin and Willow Stoll; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 24, 2010 and her parents.

Memorials may be given to the Nebr. City Rescue Squad in lieu of flowers.

My sympathies to the family. We both worked at Nebraska Department of Labor for many years. She was a dedicated manager who made a difference for many individuals needing employment services.

I worked for the Dept. of Labor for many years in Beatrice, NE and attended many meetings and trainings with Betty. Always enjoyed her. My sympathy to you. RIP, Betty.

I knew Betty for many years and found her to be an intelligent, good-hearted person with a great sense of humor. She was a great manager for the Dept. of Labor and very respected by Nebraska City employers and the people she helped through her work.

What a wonderful neighbor - she will be missed by us and many others. She, Fred and Freddie bring back so many great memories. We loved Betty and Fred and we wish comfort and peace to Freddie and his family. The Marcotte family
