Max Bebout Obituary

Max Bebout, age 88 of Percival, IA passed away on Saturday; June 15, 2019.

He was born Robert Max Bebout on February 1, 1931 at the family home near Percival, IA; the son of Herman Leo and Elizabeth Jane (North) Bebout.  He attended school and graduated from the Percival High School with the Class of 1949.

Max entered the U.S. Army in January of 1952 and honorably served his country during the Korean War.  He was discharged in December of 1954.  

He was united in marriage to Marlene E. Johnson in 1954.  She preceded him in death on Sept. 3, 1997.  He later married Diana K. (Quinn) Marth on Dec. 27, 2010.

Max was a dirt contractor/bulldozer owner and operator for over 40 years; a job that he dearly loved.  He was a member of the Percival Community Church, American Legion Post 8, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Nebr. City.  He was an avid Sidney Rodeo participant!

He is survived by his wife Diana; sons:  Terry Lee Bebout-Peculair, MO, Larry Dean Bebout (Vicky)-Marrietta, GA, Roger Allen Bebout-Nebr. City, Donnie Joe Bebout (Sue)-Thurman, IA, Johnnie Lynn Bebout-Nebr. City, Randall James Bebout (Cindy)-Nebr. City, Bret Boone (his 7th son)-Sidney, IA, Troy Alan Marth (Becky)-Nebr. City, Todd Alan Marth (Missy)-Nebr. City; 19 grand-children, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister Jayne Thomas (Leonard)-San Antonio, TX; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.,

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Rogene Risk and his parents.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday (6/20) at 10:30 a.m. at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Terry Weible officiating.  Immediately following the services, military honors will be provided by the US Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail.  Inurnment will be in the Blanchard Cemetery near Percival, IA.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (6/19) at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.

Memorials may be given to the Blanchard Cemetery, rural Percival, IA.
