Lillian Frazier Obituary

Lillian Caroline (Lynn) Welch Frazier

On April 22, 1948, Sonny and Dolly Welch welcomed their first child into the world, a beautiful baby girl they named Lillian Caroline. Lillian would be joined by her siblings, Butch, Sue, Bobby, Ruth Ann, and Bruce. The loss of her mama would devastate young Lillian, and her family would welcome into their lives her stepmom, Jenny, stepsiblings Rick, Tammy, Leo and Tony. Jenny and Sonny would complete the family with Lillian's youngest sister Jennifer.

As she grew up Lillian developed a love for animals, children, and gardening. In adulthood, she would meet the love of her life, Larry Frazier. Together, Larry and Lynn would raise his children, Marty, Beverly (Pookie), and Becky, and would be blessed with their daughter Melissa and son Michael.

When Lynn wasn't caring for her children, or attending to her beloved pets, she could be found gardening with her sister, garage selling with her best friends, or hosting New Year's Eve parties for her daughter, niece, nephew, and little sister. Lynn took pride in growing and selling sweet corn on the property where she and Larry raised their family.

Lynn was extremely blessed to be Nana to Caroline, Jordan, and Devon. They were truly the light of her life.

On February 12, 2019 Lynn joined Larry in Heaven.

Lynn is survived by her children, Missy and Michael; her stepchildren Marty, Pookie, and Becky; her grandchildren, Caroline, Jordan, and Devon; her stepparents Jenny and Tom; her siblings, Sue Gay, Ruth Ann Bruce, Jennifer Welch, Butch Welch (Lori), Bobby Welch (Belinda), and Bruce Welch; stepsiblings, Tammy Schaaf, Rick Shirley, Leo Shirley, and Tony Shirley; her nieces and nephews, Mary Ann, Vickie, Jason, Amy, Robyn, Kristen, Jeff, Brent, Joey, Dana, Rhonda, Michelle, Betty Jo, Ronnie, Jaysa, Mya, and Gentry; step nieces and nephews, Taryn, Trent, Trevor, Erika and Melissa; numerous great nieces and nephews; and friends who became family including her longtime best friend Shirley Dankof, and honorary niece Julie Dankof.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, her grandparents, her baby sister Judy, her brother in law JD, her nephew Mike, and her great niece Samantha.

Celebration of life will be at the Hamburg, Iowa Senior Center on February 24, 2019 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, Lynn's family requests memorials be made to Rash-Gude Funeral Home.
