Karen C. Kruger, age 82 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Ambassador in Nebr. City.
Karen was born on March 24, 1936 at home near Talmage, NE; the daughter of Delbert Dean “Tuffy” and Enid Caroline Alice (Walker) Meyer. She grew up in the Talmage area and graduated from Talmage High School with the class of 1954.
On October 4, 1955, Karen was united in marriage to John Alden Kruger at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Talmage. Four children were born to this union: Timothy, Kendall, Shawn and Dawn.
Karen was a housewife and homemaker; staying home raising the children. She was a loving wife and mother. She also worked at Bellevue Florist. She was a member of Calvary Community Church in Nebr. City.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, John Kruger of Nebr. City; four children: Timothy Kruger and wife Barbara of Bellevue, Kendall Kruger and wife Dawn of Colorado Springs, CO, Shawn Morse and husband Steve of Roswell, GA and Dawn S. Howard of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren: Carolyn Kruger of Bellevue, NE, Timothy Kruger II and wife Julia of Bellevue, NE, Aaron Kruger and wife Tabitha of Glenwood, IA, Troy Kruger of Denver, CO, Maddison Kruger of Denver, CO and Mark Patrick Kramme and wife Brittany of Iowa City, IA; three great-grandchildren: Harper Kay Kruger, Mark Connor Kramme and Beau Alden Kruger; five siblings: Sandra Stephens of Colorado Springs, CO, Max Meyer of Lincoln, NE, Linda Holland and husband Ron of Nebr. City, NE, Janice Field and husband Larry of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Aaron Meyer and wife Marcia of Nebr. City, NE; other family and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sibling.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Calvary Community Church in Nebr. City with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Burial will follow the services at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.
A memorial fund is being established in Karen’s memory.
