Glen E. Moyer, age 75 of Nebr. City, NE (formerly of Lincoln, NE) passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Tabitha-Seagren House in Lincoln, NE.
Glen was born on December 16, 1943 at rural Nebraska City; the son of Arlo Edward and Marjorie Edith (Schmidt) Moyer. He grew up and attended school in the Nebraska City area, graduating from Nebraska City High School with the class of 1962.
On April 1, 1964 he entered the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on March 23, 1968. After his time in the Navy, he began his career at the United States Post Office in Lincoln where he worked for over 30 years. Glen was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt.
Glen is survived by three sons all of Lincoln: Brian Moyer, Keith Moyer and Alan Moyer; one daughter Marie Moyer of Castle Rock, CO; seven grandchildren: Ashley Wilksen, Alexis Moyer, Seth Moyer, Alayna Moyer, Ezra Moyer, Elias Moyer and Crystal Lintt; two great-grandchildren: James and Madelynn Wilksen; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Arlo in 1970, his mother Marjorie in 2009, a grandson Tyler Meyers and brother Gary Moyer in 2002.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City with complete military honors by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Detail and Talmage, NE American Legion Post.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
Memorials may be given to the Nebraska Game and Parks Wildlife Division.
