Geraldine L. Huss

Geraldine L. Huss, 88, of Nebraska City passed away on September 8, 2019 at the Ambassador in Nebr. City.

Geraldine was born on December 26, 1930 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Carl T. and Winifred V. (Stoddard) Huss.

She grew up and attended school in Nebraska City, graduating from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1948.  

Shortly after high school she began working former Ocomo Foods in Nebraska City.  In 1954, she began her career at American Meter in Nebraska City.  She retired in 1996 after 42 years of service.  She was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church in Nebr. City.

Geraldine is survived by nieces and nephews:  Melanie Torczon and husband David of Bellevue, NE;  Donny Huss of Lebanon, IN, Micheal Osborn and wife Beth of Bellevue, NE, Joy Osborn of Nebraska City, NE, Jimmy Wayne Benton and wife Cheryl of Weeping Water, NE and John Benton of Malvern, IA; many great nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Winifred Huss; siblings:  Joan Osborn and her husband Howard, Donna Benton and her husband James, Joy Huss and his wife Jean and nephews:  David James Osborn and Douglas Huss.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday; Sept. 13, 2019 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor David Sohl officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Gude Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the Faith Baptist Church in Nebraska City.
