Anna Belle Jennings, age 82, of Shenandoah, IA (long time resident of Riverton, IA) passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at her son’s home near Tabor, IA.
Anna was born on July 9, 1937 in Hamburg, IA; the daughter of Hubert Cole “H.C.“ and Harriet Leora (Estes) Loose. She graduated from the Riverton High School with the class of 1955 and then went on to attend Northwest Missouri State at Maryville, MO.
She worked at various jobs over the years, including at American Meter in Nebraska City for nine years. She was a member of the Riverton Methodist Church, Eastern Star and was a Cub Scout Leader for many years.
Anna is survived by her children: Kirk Jennings and wife Cindy of Riverton, IA, Jeff Jennings of Farragut, IA and Craig Jennings and wife Christy of Tabor, IA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister Margie Brown and husband Donald of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law Ron Reece of Lincoln, NE; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Florence Reece.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Riverton Christian Community Church (former Methodist Church) in Riverton, IA. Burial will follow at the Riverton Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (7/18) at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Memorials may be given to Mt. Zion Church - rural Riverton, IA or to the family for future designation.
