Allen Beccard

Allen Beccard, age 83 of Union, NE passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Clarence Allen Beccard was born on October 1, 1940 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Clarence H. and Louise (Vock) Beccard.  The family lived southwest of Nebraska City (Paul, NE) and moved to the Union area in 1947.  He attended school at Buck Country School, Union Public School and later in Nebraska City where he graduated from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1959.

Allen was united in marriage to Judy K. Vest on September 10, 1960 at the Presbyterian Church in Murray, NE and to this union two children were born:  Bruce Allen and Cristine Ann.

In his younger years, Allen worked at the Elevator in Nehawka, NE and for Mel Todd as a farmhand.  He later began his career in farming, which he continued until his health began to fail.  He served on the East Union Cemetery Board for several years and Allen and Judy attended Living Water Church in Plattsmouth, NE.  His greatest joy in life was his choice to enter a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which he did in his thirties.  This brought him much comfort and peace in his lifetime. 

He is survived by his wife Judy Beccard of Union, NE; children:  Bruce A. Beccard and wife Jamee of Gravette, AR, Cristine “Cris” Noerrlinger and husband Lynn of Union, NE; six grandchildren:  Tad, Andy, Jared and Garrett Beccard, Ryan Noerrlinger and Tara McCord; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers:  Donnie Beccard and wife Janet of Bellevue, NE and Norm Beccard and wife Carol of Union, NE; a sister- in-law Ginger Roddy of Nebraska City and a brother-in-law Henry Vest and wife Kathy of Murray, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Louise in 2010, his father Clarence in 2013 and his father and mother-in-law Carl and Dolly Vest.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday (4/12) at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday; April 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Living Water Church in Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Greg Crawford officiating.  The service will be live streamed on Living Water Church Facebook page.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at East Union Cemetery northeast of Union, NE.

Memorials may be given to Living Water Church in Plattsmouth or the Nehawka Volunteer Fire Dept.
